Teresa School Of Motoring

My name is Teresa Gavin, I have been a fully qualified driving instructor in Leicester since 2002, I did my instructor training with British School of Motoring and 8 months later started my own business, which has gone from strength to strength. The majority of of my pupils being from recommendations.

My pupils drive my new Toyota Yaris, this is a perfect tuition car to learn in with plenty of leg room, comfy seats and good visibility from every window.

I have a great deal of experience of teaching pupils from all different nationalities and ages.

Most importantly, learning to drive should always be enjoyable for both pupil and instructor. I pride myself on being exceptionally patient and always offer a calm friendly relaxed style of instruction and above all we will have fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

A theory test comprises of two parts - multiple choice test and a hazard perception test. You must pass both parts before booking a practical driving test.

The multiple choice theory test has a total of 50 questions, you must answer 43 out of 50 correctly to pass. The hazard perception test has 75 possible answers, you have to get 44 of these correct to pass. After this you will be required to answer two vehicle safety questions correctly.

The theory test price is currently £25.

The pass plus course will take at least 6 hours to complete so please bare this in mind.

Lessons are always 1 to 1 and prices are available on request. Intensive course available on request

Please note I require a 24 notice for cancellations and/or date change, although I do prefer 48 hours to change or cancel your lesson. Otherwise the lesson will be charged for at full rate.

Lessons

Weekly driving lessons are the typical method that most learners choose when learning to drive. It usually takes around 30 to 40 hours to reach the test standard. Alternatively Teresa offers intensive lessons, mock tests and nervous driver tuition.

Refresher Courses

In our working lives we realise the value of ongoing training to help us adapt to changing circumstances and avoid getting rusty, so surely we should take the same approach to our driving? Teresa also offers pass plus and motorway lessons.
